On weekends, I casually stopped by a snack shop where you can take out side dishes from the storefront. I first tried ikazushi, a local dish from Aomori, and the gentle acidity and packed ingredients were exquisite, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. For the signature menu item, I chose yuzu-flavored soba inari, and the combination of chewy soba and fragrant skin was fresh and enjoyable. The egg sandwich with pickled daikon was also a perfect match with its crisp texture and creamy egg, providing just the right amount of volume. I also had some potato salad on the side, which had a nostalgic taste with the flavor of onions and rich mayonnaise. This hidden gem of a shop is just a short walk from the station, and I was delighted to be able to choose from a variety of unusual side dishes, which really brightened up the dining table.
