A renowned restaurant for warm and inviting jidori dishes

Jidori Yaki Okamura is a hidden gem where you can enjoy Miyazaki's jidori chicken grilled over charcoal. In addition to jidori, the menu features bonito sashimi and fried chicken, but the jidori grilled with yuzu pepper is particularly worth a visit. The restaurant plays jazz music, creating a pleasant atmosphere to savor delicious dishes.

The charcoal-grilled jidori chicken is fragrant and brings happiness from the very first bite. Although it looks a bit dark, it doesn't taste burnt; instead, you can really feel the umami. The combination of the firm, chewy meat and yuzu pepper is outstanding, making it hard to put down the chopsticks. The fried chicken, yakitori, chicken nanban, bonito sashimi, and seseri don are all highly satisfying in their own right. The recommendations on the blackboard are also enjoyable, and I even encountered wild boar. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, and the warm hospitality of the staff in the jazz-filled interior is heartwarming.
