The shop near the ropeway has a lovely calm atmosphere. Inside, there is a wide array of famous sweets from Himeji, and it's fun to be able to sample some of them. They also have tea prepared, which makes it nice to take your time choosing. The snack with crispy wafers filled with caramel-coated almonds was fragrant and left a lasting impression. The Baumkuchen filled with yuzu paste looks like the rings of a tree and has a refreshing flavor. The Japanese sweets layered with egg yolk paste and soft mochi have a refined sweetness that pairs perfectly with tea.
