Minato Mirai [Chen Bean Curd I went to Chen Ma Pao Tofu, a Chinese restaurant with a long line at Queen's Square, for lunch. Since I had already had two of their signature dishes, mapo tofu and claypot, I ordered the "authentic Sichuan shrimp chili" today. The shrimp chili here does not use ketchup, so it is not red. Instead, it is an authentic dish with ground meat and pickled chili peppers. The taste is not so spicy, especially the chili is more umami than spicy. The slightly salty taste plus the spiciness enhances the shrimp. The price is 1,400 yen with mini mapo doufu (this one is spicy in its own way). As expected, we had to have more rice today, too, and we were full ^^;. Thank you for the food 😋.

This restaurant is famous for its spicy bean curd. Although it is located in a somewhat confusing place in Minato Mirai, it is a popular restaurant with a lot of people. It is quite spicy, but even my pregnant wife could eat it, so it shouldn't be too much of a shock. It was so delicious that we bought a retort as a souvenir.
