A beloved long-established taste in the community

Suizenji Shigure is a long-established restaurant with over 50 years of history, cherished by the locals. It combines an izakaya style with a sushi restaurant style, allowing guests to enjoy authentic sushi at the counter and a variety of dishes in the tatami seating area. Dishes made with particularly rare ingredients and the restaurant's unique vinegared dishes are definitely worth a try. With pleasant service, you can savor high-quality flavors that highlight local specialties.

This is a long-loved restaurant, with a lively and comfortable atmosphere. The first dish I had, peach with white miso, had a wonderful aroma and a gentle sweetness that melted my heart. The sashimi platter was diverse, with each piece bursting with flavor. The salt tempura of anago (conger eel) and steamed abalone with vinegar miso were both crafted with care, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. The dishes like mamakari, shigure tofu, and the bento with rolled sushi and deep-fried skewers were all unique and enjoyable. The refreshing sake paired well with the dishes, resulting in a highly satisfying meal.
