Each sweet potato from Oita Prefecture, 'Beniharuka', is carefully washed, steamed with the skin on in a steam kettle, then further baked in a pot to bring out the sweetness. A special sweet bean paste made with butter and egg yolks is wrapped in a separate dough, placed in a mold, and baked slowly to create a 'realistic and more delicious sweet potato dessert'.
A rich pudding made with Jersey milk from Aso Koguni, accented with a slightly bitter caramel sauce. Sandwiched together with custard cream in a fluffy pancake-like dorayaki skin.
A dorayaki that is filled with homemade sweet red bean paste made from Hokkaido-grown 'Ogura' azuki beans, which have been carefully cooked and kneaded over time since the founding of the shop, and sandwiched between a fluffy pancake-like dorayaki skin with added honey. This is a specialty dorayaki from Kikuya.
A baked confectionery wrapped in pie crust with red bean paste mixed with crushed walnuts. The distinctive features of 'Bondia' are the buttery aroma, the texture of walnuts, and a rich flavor that is not too sweet. It was created in 1978 to commemorate the sister city relationship between the city of Aveiro in Portugal and Oita. 'Bondia' means 'good morning' or 'have a nice day' in Portuguese.
