A hidden gem for authentic Chinese cuisine

Kinkei may look like a ramen shop at first glance, but it offers an exquisite selection of authentic Chinese dishes. The menu is diverse, with shark fin dishes being a specialty. Contrary to its appearance, the skill in preparing the dishes rivals that of high-end restaurants, captivating visitors. Despite being a local establishment, the quality and flavor of the food have earned high praise from many locals.

The appearance is a bit austere, but inside you can thoroughly enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine. The menu is extensive, and you can choose from various signature shark fin dishes, including soup, fried rice, noodles, and served over white rice. There are different types of shark fin, and it's interesting that you can choose between the shortfin mako and the thresher shark. The congee is also authentic, warm, and comforting. The alcohol selection includes Shaoxing wine with different aging years, ranging from 5 to 20 years, which is delightful. The contrast with the appearance is enjoyable, and I felt it was a great place for fans of local Chinese cuisine.
