I enjoyed seafood at a small diner I stopped by in Soma City. First, the hokki rice, which is rice cooked with northern surf clams, was infused with the sweetness of the clams and made me happy from the very first bite. Next, the seafood bowl I ordered had plump shrimp with their heads still on, and just looking at the presentation made me excited. I also tried the clam rice bento topped with salmon roe and sea bream, and the umami of the clams permeated the rice, making it impossible to stop eating. The grilled conger eel bowl had a wonderful aroma and a rich sauce, and the tender flesh melted in my mouth. It was a warm atmosphere where I could casually enjoy fresh seafood, and I was filled with satisfaction after the meal.
