Chimoto Takidori Honten

This is a representative confectionery of Hakone, made from domestic glutinous rice flour kneaded into soft rice cakes. Inside, it contains finely chopped honneri yokan, resembling the rocks of the Hayakawa River flowing through Hakone, and it is infused with the fragrance of yuzu, evoking the scent of the mandarin orange village. Its softness reminds one of the smooth skin after soaking in hot spring water. It has also been selected as a designated confectionery of Kanagawa Prefecture. *Contains eggs. Hakone Eight Ri can be crossed even on horseback... Inspired by the bells of the horse drivers of Hakone Eight Ri, as sung in the 'Hakone Horse Driver Song', this is finished in a sweet bean paste-filled monaka. The 'Yumoichi' made in the adjacent factory is delivered in its state before being wrapped in bamboo leaves, known as 'Soft Skin Yumoichi.'
