A sushi restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood from Nagasaki

Sushi Yasu is located just a 5-minute walk from Nagasaki University Hospital and is a beloved local sushi spot. The interior features a warm, traditional Japanese atmosphere, complete with a counter, sunken kotatsu seating, and tatami banquet rooms. The skilled craftsmanship of the sushi chefs shines through in their nigiri, which uses fresh seafood, including sea urchin from Nagasaki Prefecture, leaving you impressed by its exquisite flavors.

The ingredients lined up in front of the counter are beautiful and exciting. The calm Japanese atmosphere and the pleasant service from the staff make it a comfortable place to be. The tanginess of the rice and the aroma of the seaweed are outstanding, and the rolls keep coming. The cucumbers are finely chopped, making the hand rolls with cucumber and pickled plum enjoyable in texture. The sweet sea urchin, the plump scallops, the tender squid, and the local fish are all very delicious. You can also see the live fish tank, and the sushi is prepared at a good pace, leaving my mouth filled with umami even after the meal.
