The charm of enjoying fresh sushi in a standing style

Tachigui Sushi Aji-sai is a popular spot located in Himeji Shinobucho, offering fresh sushi at a standing counter. The creations by the female chefs are delicious, featuring items like tuna and sea urchin, with the combination of squid and sea urchin being particularly exquisite. Be sure to savor the delicious sushi made with fresh fish.

I was excited the moment I entered, with a standing-eating style at the counter only. The rice is on the smaller side, making it just right for slowly enjoying with some drinks. In addition to tuna and striped jack, everything from steamed conger eel to sea urchin was incredibly fresh and impressive. The marinated sweet shrimp was particularly packed with flavor and unforgettable. I appreciate the thoughtful attention from the chef, who even asked me how to use the red clam's string. It's a popular place, but the atmosphere is comfortable, making it easy to drop by alone.
