A renowned restaurant for enjoying Tohoku's exquisite Japanese breakfast

Tohoku Sushi Sakana Fukugura is a restaurant where you can savor the specialty dishes from the six prefectures of the Tohoku region. You can fully enjoy local flavors such as tender chicken and sweet egg rice in a wooden box, and salmon marinated in autumn leaves. A variety of side dishes like Inaniwa udon and squid with carrots are also available, offering a plate that showcases the charm of Japanese cuisine. The appeal of Fukugura lies in its comfortable atmosphere, where you can indulge in the rich flavors of Tohoku from the morning.

Located on the first floor of a hotel connected to the station, it has a bright atmosphere as soon as you enter. In the morning, you can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast, but the Japanese options are particularly abundant. It's delightful to be able to taste a little bit of Tohoku's specialties, such as ika-ninjin (squid and carrot), sasakama (grilled fish cake), and tamakonnyaku (konjac balls). The hot wappa rice is well-balanced with ingredients, and the chicken is tender and comforting in flavor. Drinks are self-service, and it's convenient that coffee can be taken away in cups. It is also open during lunch and dinner hours, and I feel that it is a restaurant that specializes in seafood.
