A hidden diner wrapped in homely warmth

Pokkapoka Shokudo is a cozy diner quietly nestled in a residential area. The interior features tatami-matted Japanese rooms and Western-style rooms, both offering a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The hearty menu items are all homey yet showcase professional techniques, with the simmered hamburg steak and imagawayaki being particularly popular. Once you visit, you'll want to return for another heartwarming experience.

This is a hidden gem located in a residential area, and the style of taking off your shoes at the entrance makes you feel like you are visiting a friend's house. In addition to the Western-style counter and tables, there is also a tatami room where you can relax while watching TV, which is delightful. The meals come in large portions and refills are free, so I was able to fully enjoy the hearty stir-fried chives and pork. The miso soup, packed with ingredients, has a gentle flavor and pairs perfectly with the juicy simmered hamburger steak. The hot curry gratin and fluffy egg chahan also bring happiness just from their aroma, and I finished off with a freshly baked imagawayaki, which was comforting. With its homey atmosphere and a wide variety of appealing menu options, this is a wonderful diner that warms both the heart and the stomach.
