A hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant full of charm

Gohan-ya Yukinokura is an ideal establishment in terms of taste, portion size, atmosphere, and service. The restaurant's popular dishes, such as fried mochi and thick-cut pork miso grill, captivate visitors with their exquisite flavors. The music selection inside the restaurant is also excellent, allowing for a relaxing time. It's a place where you can enjoy a variety of creatively crafted dishes, resembling a hidden retreat.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was first asked about my smoking preference and was guided to a non-smoking sunken table seat, where I was able to relax. The menu is rich with a variety of options from seafood bowls to fried dishes, making the selection process exciting. The service was smooth, and the hot fried chicken and thick-cut pork cutlet arrived freshly cooked, enhancing my appetite just from the aroma. Each dish came with small side dishes and miso soup, and the rice was served in a wooden container, which made me want to ask for a refill. The vinegared rice and white rice had a good grain texture, pairing excellently with the fish and fried items. With its casual atmosphere and the freedom of the drink bar, I think it's a wonderful place to enjoy a leisurely meal.
