As soon as I sat down, jasmine tea was served, warming my heart. The mapo tofu was spicy yet had a deep umami flavor, making it hard to stop eating the rice. The pan-fried dumplings and boiled dumplings had a chewy skin and could be enjoyed lightly with a simple sauce. The thick sauce of the Chinese rice dish was delightful with the crisp texture of the vegetables and the bouncy feel of the small shrimp. Thanks to the Chinese language and nostalgic songs coming from the kitchen, a relaxed atmosphere flowed throughout. The chef's skill was impressive, making it hard to believe he was working alone, and I was satisfied and smiling until the end.
