Authentic Abura Soba Specialty Shop in Nara

This is a specialty shop focused exclusively on abura soba. The bright and friendly staff provide excellent service, and the unique style of enjoying ramen without soup is a major draw. The particularly tender chashu and the exquisite combination with the shop's original sauce offer a simple yet profound flavor experience. It is also popular among women and loved by many as a health-conscious dining option.

After sitting at the counter and handing over my meal ticket, a large bowl was soon brought to me. The thick, chewy noodles were drizzled with a special vinegar and chili oil, and as I mixed them, the aroma immediately rose up. Thanks to the soft-boiled egg, the sauce became mellow and didn't feel heavy until the end. Adding some spicy miso or fish powder along the way brought a sharp kick and a rich seafood flavor, making the taste change enjoyable. The char siu, which crumbled easily with chopsticks, combined well with the generous amount of sesame, and I couldn't help but slurp it up. When I added rice to the sauce left at the bottom of the bowl to finish it off, my sense of satisfaction increased even more.
