Yamanakaya Kitakami is a yakiniku restaurant located in Kitaki Oniyanagi, Kitakami City. We visited during lunch time. For lunch, you can choose from three types of ribs. You can also choose cold noodles, stone-grilled bibimbap, etc. in combination for 1,380 yen, which is a great deal. The grilled meat was of course delicious. I chose the Morioka cold noodles, which was a great choice. I was surprised to find that it was even better than I had expected, with a strong flavor and firm noodles. I would have liked to have another bowl.

The extraordinarily thick and hearty beef tongue is a must. We recommend the combination of yakiniku and cold noodles or rice on the lunch menu, and for yakiniku, we recommend the Genki Kalbi and Pork Horumon. Even if you order a small portion of cold noodles, the volume is quite large when combined with rice, so it is recommended for men who eat. Rice refills are free. The restaurant has many visitors both during the day and at night.
