A restaurant where you can savor traditional pickles

At Fukushima Ryozenzuke Honten, you can enjoy unique pickles that have been beloved by locals for years. The combination of finely shredded carrots and squid is particularly exquisite, with a crunchy texture and flavor that is addictive. Inside the shop, you can sample various types of pickles along with tea, all of which are rich in flavor and evoke a sense of Japanese tradition.

The rice balls grilled in a demonstration are fragrant, and the miso is evenly distributed, making them delicious. The red chili garlic miso is spicier than expected, spreading warmth that makes you sweat afterward. The perilla miso has a gentle sweetness, with a faint aroma that makes it easy to eat. The rice is tightly packed, giving a feeling of satisfaction with just one. The green chili miso has a moist texture and a strong spiciness, making it a good match for alcohol. Additionally, the squid and carrot have a crispy texture with little aftertaste, and I enjoyed the slight sweetness and acidity.
