The appetizer dishes are carefully prepared, and the simmered bamboo shoots, fresh baby sardines, and simmered offal are all delicious. The simmered mackerel is tender and flaky, and the rich miso pairs well with it. The rice balls have a rich seaweed aroma, the rice is fluffy, and they go down easily with pickles. The dumplings have a higher ratio of vegetables and a lighter texture, with umami that spreads as you chew. The wild celery hot pot has a pleasant crunch and the soy sauce-based broth seeps into the ingredients, providing comfort. The finishing soba noodles are smooth, and there is a variety of sake available to enjoy together.

The daily set meal that day was served very quickly, which was helpful. The grilled mackerel with Saikyo miso and the potato stew had plenty of ingredients and a rich flavor that made it easy to eat. The hot pot with wild celery had a gentle soy sauce broth that was delicious even down to the roots. Adding leaves midway gave it a crisp texture, making it enjoyable to experience the change. Finally, when soba was added, it paired very well with the broth. There was also a selection of sake and shochu, and I was happy that they made a gin and tonic for me even though it wasn't on the menu.
