In the calm atmosphere of Donya-machi, as soon as you enter the stylish interior, you are greeted by cheerful staff. The fun of shaking the bottled salad that comes out first lifts your spirits right from the start of the meal. The bite-sized gyoza is packed with vegetables, and both the grilled and boiled versions have a perfect balance of crispiness and juiciness that makes it hard to stop eating. The boiled gyoza, infused with garlic, has its flavor seeped into the soup, and when you turn it into a rice porridge at the end, it goes down easily. The side menu is also substantial, featuring chicken skin skewers and udon with fried chicken, all of which are generously portioned, which is delightful. The service is speedy, and both the appearance and taste of the dishes are appealing, making it a comfortable place where you tend to linger longer.
