A Japanese dining space to savor fresh seasonal fish from Sagami Bay

Wagashi Sugita is a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood from Sagami Bay, delivered directly from Oiso Port. The chef personally assists local fishermen to procure fresh local fish, offering a unique and refined taste that you won't find elsewhere. With a wide selection of sake available, it's a perfect spot for an after-work drink or a girls' night out in a relaxed atmosphere.

The seasonal seafood delivered from the nearby port is all fresh, and the white fish and shellfish are particularly delicious. The sashimi platter we ordered first had a good balance of bonito, grilled barracuda, and surf clam, and the explanations were thorough. While gazing at the fish lined up at the counter, we could casually chat with the staff and enjoy a pleasant time. The simmered dishes, grilled items, and tempura are also must-tries, with just the right seasoning, allowing us to fully appreciate the crispiness and the richness of the fat. The selection of sake is abundant, and it's exciting to choose one that pairs well with the dishes. The first floor has a counter and tables, while the second floor has tatami seating, where we can also enjoy sushi to finish off our meal.
