A hidden gem where you can savor exquisite tonkatsu

Tonkatsu Nakameguro Katsumo is a renowned tonkatsu restaurant located deep within the Okuda Center dining area, exuding a Showa-era atmosphere. The tenderness of the meat and the crispiness of the coating maintain a perfect balance, melting in your mouth. The proportions of cabbage, rice, and miso soup are also well-balanced, making it so delicious that you'll want to ask for a second helping of rice. This charming establishment is one that many should visit.

The atmosphere is calm, making it easy for anyone to drop in. You can hear the sound of frying, which adds to the excitement while you wait. The katsu that comes out has a crispy coating, and you can really taste the sweetness of the meat. The table is equipped with salt, sauce, tonkatsu sauce, and mustard, making it fun to try different combinations. The menu is rich, offering not only tonkatsu and hirekatsu but also chicken katsu, miso katsu, and katsu don. It's a popular place that can quickly become full, and its somewhat hidden atmosphere is also appealing.

There are many types of katsu, making it fun to choose. You can hear the sound of frying, which lifts your spirits while you wait. The pork loin has a rich sweetness that can be enjoyed with salt or sauce. On the table, there are rock salt, lake salt, sauces, tonkatsu sauce, and mustard, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavors. The pork loin katsu don is prepared in a non-simmered style, with a pleasant texture for the coating and a runny egg that pairs well with the sansho pepper. The miso soup has a great aroma, and it includes tofu and leafy greens, providing a high level of satisfaction.
