Savor exquisite dam curry at the gateway to the Alpine Route

Ogisawa Rest House is a restaurant located at a popular tourist spot bustling with visitors as the gateway to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The Kurobe Dam curry, featuring arch-shaped rice made from locally sourced Koshihikari and fragrant roast cutlet, is a delightful dish that pleases the palates of those who visit. The casual, food court-like atmosphere of the interior makes for a pleasant moment to enjoy warm dishes.

This shop is located inside Ogizawa Station, making it easy to stop by before starting your mountain journey. The Kurobe Dam curry on the sign is a taste that has been passed down for generations, allowing you to enjoy it with peace of mind. The rice is shaped like a dam, and the curry spreads outwards, creating an exciting presentation. The toppings resemble sightseeing boats, adding a playful touch to the appearance. There are also options like cutlet curry and a plate for children, and it's nice that a salad is included. Sitting by the bright window while enjoying the view and taking a break with coffee lifts your spirits.
