Chinese Restaurant in Kameyama: Shirakawa hands over catalog of donations to Mayor Sakurai (right) at Kameyama City Hall】【Kameyama】Takahisa Shirakawa, 48, owner of Chinese restaurant "Chinese Meisai Shirakawa" in Mizuhodai, Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture, visited Mayor Yoshiyuki Sakurai at Kameyama City Hall on January 6, and presented a catalogue of donations from January 4 to 31, 2012. He presented Mayor Sakurai with a catalog of 297,300 yen from his restaurant's sales of yaki-gyoza until January 4-31 to donate to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake relief efforts. Shirakawa has many friends in the earthquake-stricken areas of Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures, and as a chef, he wondered what he could do to help, so he decided to support the victims by encouraging them to try the restaurant's yaki-gyoza through food, and hoping that the total proceeds from their sales would be a ray of hope. The owner of the restaurant, Mr. Shirakawa, said, "I couldn't stand still thinking about the victims of the earthquake when Corona was moved to the 5th class and we were just about to start the New Year," and added, "I was moved by the human connections, including those who repeatedly came to eat gyoza and those who invited their friends. I was moved by the connections between people," he said. Mayor Sakurai said, "We certainly received the proceeds from the sales of the 'yaki-gyoza' that Shirakawa's owner wanted and many people agreed to eat. The city will send the money to the Japanese Red Cross Society. February 8, 2024 Ise Shimbun

We will reserve the Okunoma "Kiin" room for a private dinner in a special space just for our guests. Please enjoy a blissful time.
The pork used in our shop's popular No. 1 dish, the fried sauce meat (minced meat), is SPF pork 'Hokkaido-raised Hikoma Pork'. We source it from the Hokkaido Donan Agro Farm, which has passed strict annual inspections with thorough hygiene management and has been recognized as the best in Hokkaido by the Japan SPF Pork Association.
Authentic spicy flavor with a kick of Sichuan pepper. A must-try dish for mala enthusiasts, delivering a numbing spiciness that feels just like being on-site.

Owner Shirakawa has many friends in the earthquake-affected areas such as Ishikawa and Toyama Prefectures and thought about what he could do as a chef. Owner Shirakawa said, 'When I think about the people affected by the earthquake at a time when COVID-19 has transitioned to category 5 and we were ready to work hard for the new year, I couldn't just sit still.' He added, 'I was moved by the connections between people, such as those who have come to eat gyoza many times and those who invited friends to come.' Mayor Sakurai stated, 'We have indeed received the sales proceeds from the fried gyoza, which reflects Owner Shirakawa's feelings and the support of many people who agreed to eat it. We will send it from the city to the Japanese Red Cross Society.' February 8, 2024, Ise Shimbun
