A soba restaurant enjoying the charm of a traditional farmhouse
Ponpokori is a restaurant where you can enjoy soba in a beautifully renovated traditional farmhouse setting. Upon entering, you are enveloped in a warm atmosphere that evokes a sense of nostalgia, welcoming all visitors. The soba made from Shinshu-grown stone-milled buckwheat flour and the tempura featuring seasonal ingredients are particularly well-regarded.

The space is a relaxing one that makes use of an old house and makes you feel at ease from the moment you enter. The tatami room is furnished with a sunken kotatsu, allowing you to relax while enjoying the view of the garden. The fireplace near the entrance, kimonos, fresh flowers, and other decorations are also very nice and cozy. The soba has a gentle flavor that goes well with the spicy daikon radish and green onion. The freshly fried tempura was crispy and light, and I was satisfied with the variety of shrimp, kisu, scallops, and even vegetables. There are 1.5x, 2x, and 3x (ita-soba) serving options, so everyone can enjoy sharing.
