Since its establishment in 1920, Yamasa Ryokan has been serving suppon (soft-shelled turtle) cuisine, which has been well received by many customers. Suppon tastes like chicken, with a light and unctuous taste, and the fatty part is also light. You will never get tired of eating it no matter how much you eat, and the more you eat, the more flavorful it becomes. It is served with our secret home-made vinegar and soy sauce and home-made yuzu kosho (citrus pepper), which we have kept since the establishment of the company.
We have a wide selection of wines from the Anshin-in Winery located nearby. Additionally, we offer sake from within the prefecture.
Soup, chawanmushi, grilled liver, charcoal-grilled, sashimi, and fried dishes, all made with soft-shelled turtle. Additional dishes can be ordered.
