Each sweet potato from Oita Prefecture, 'Beniharuka', is carefully washed, steamed with the skin on in a steam kettle, then further baked in a pot to bring out the sweetness. A special sweet bean paste made with butter and egg yolks is wrapped in a separate dough, placed in a mold, and baked slowly to create a 'realistic and more delicious sweet potato dessert'.
A rich pudding made with Jersey milk from Aso Koguni, accented with a slightly bitter caramel sauce. It is sandwiched between a fluffy pancake-like dorayaki skin with custard cream.
A dorayaki made with carefully cooked and kneaded Hokkaido-grown 'Ogura' red beans, using the homemade chunky sweet bean paste that has been protected since the founding of the company, sandwiched between a fluffy honey-infused dorayaki skin. This is Kikuya's proud dorayaki.
A baked confectionery wrapped in pie crust with red bean paste mixed with crushed walnuts. The 'Bondia' is characterized by the fragrant flavor of butter, the texture of walnuts, and a rich taste that is not too sweet. It was created in 1978 to commemorate the sister city relationship between the city of Aveiro in Portugal and Oita. 'Bondia' means 'good morning' or 'have a nice day' in Portuguese.
