Every day, fish arrive from the sea of Goto, located 1200 kilometers from Tokyo! The upper Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan's westernmost point, are surrounded by beautiful and rich seas, making it a treasure trove of fish. Many fish with firm flesh and rich flavor are caught, including ara (grouper), hirasu (Japanese amberjack), mizuika (squid), arakabu (rockfish), kuro (black sea bream), and chinu (black sea bream). The island has unique names for its fish, and there are many types of fish that can only be eaten locally.
This is bluefin tuna farmed in a way that is as close to natural as possible in the sea of Goto. It is named Kintaro Tuna after the Kintaro candy, which is said to be delicious no matter where it is cut. Kintaro Tuna is available in popular cuts such as fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, red meat, and soy sauce marinated, starting from two servings. One serving is 1,500 yen.
