I was able to enjoy a relaxed meal at the calm teppanyaki counter in the hotel. The local ingredients grilled right in front of me were all fragrant and exciting. The lean meat of the short-horned beef was moist and full of flavor, while the Maesawa beef had a melt-in-your-mouth texture that was impressive. The seafood from Sanriku and the Hachimantai salmon also had a pleasant light smoky aroma that paired well with the sauces and condiments. The unique touches here, such as the short-horned beef prosciutto, specially cultivated rice, and garlic chips from Tago, were delightful. The interaction with the chef was also pleasant, and the flow of the course kept me engaged until the very end.
