June 6 - July 5, 2012] "Enjoy the cool breeze at Noryo Kawayuka, where fireflies are flying in Takao, a secluded area of Kyoto. Enjoy the cool weather with the magnificent scenery of nature in the background, and be lured by the flow of the Kiyotaki River, Enjoy summer Kyoto cuisine with fresh ingredients and local sweetfish on the riverbed as Genjibotaru (Genji botaru) dances in the air, and have a wonderful time. From around 6/6 to 7/5, you can view Genji botaru (fireflies) in the clear waters of the Kiyotaki River. (*Because these are natural fireflies, you may not be able to see them due to weather or temperature conditions.)
