Exquisite Sichuan cuisine with numbing spiciness and umami

Chinese Cuisine Funfun is a renowned Sichuan restaurant conveniently located near Shin-Osaka Station. It is particularly famous for its 'Sichuan Chen Mapo Tofu,' perfected by the owner after 20 years of research, captivating many fans with its unique flavor. The use of a stone pot to serve the hot Mapo Tofu, allowing you to enjoy it until the very last bite, is another delightful feature.

The richness of the shoyu is the hallmark of this dish! This is the mapo doufu you've been hoping for! A Chinese restaurant in Shin-Osaka with a relaxed atmosphere Chinese Cuisine Fun Fun Fun Shin-Osaka Station About 5 minutes walk from Shin-Osaka station. A famous Chinese restaurant that just relocated and renewed in May 2019. There is always a line around noon on weekdays, and there are many people who seem to be businessmen on a business trip, probably because of the location. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a building and can be easily found. The restaurant is spacious and has many seats. Therefore, even if there is a line, you may be able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes. I think that 80% of the people who visit Fun Fun Fun order "Bean-curd soup with red bean paste". The "Bean-curd soup with red bean paste" is so famous. In fact, when I looked around, I saw that most of the customers ordered the Bean Curd. Menu Chen Bean Curd Set 1,080 yen The most popular set menu. Free refills of rice. After about 10 minutes, the bean curd came out with a gurgling sound. It was the most simmering tofu I had ever seen. For a while, the oil bounced around so much that I had to cover it with a piece of paper like a grilled steak. It was the first time I had ever ordered Bean Curd with Bean Paste and had to cover it with paper to prevent the oil from splattering. As for the taste, it was one of the best I have ever had. The balance between the flavor of the oil, the deep richness of the soy bean sauce and the sweetness that comes from the maturation of the soy bean sauce and the sweetness that lingers afterwards is wonderful. The taste of this bean curd is truly memorable. You will want to eat it all the time, and you will want to start eating it even if you have to endure the heat. The spiciness is not "painfully hot," but rather a characteristic of the flavorful spiciness that comes from the aged "soy sauce. If you like mapo doufu, this is a must-try restaurant. The restaurant is clean and the service is courteous and prompt, making a good impression. I think this is a restaurant that can be used on a date as well. Thank you very much for the meal.

Fun Fun Fun" - The best and strongest mapo tofu to please business travelers. We want you to stop by before boarding the Shinkansen - | Kitanemeshi.com When we asked on Instagram, "Please tell us about a restaurant that serves the best bean curd tofu!" Many people recommended "Fun Fun Fun" when we asked for suggestions. I had plans to take the Shinkansen, so I decided to visit alone before that. Here is how it went! Store Information Fun Fun Fun" is located about a 7-minute walk from JR Shin-Osaka Station. About 7 minutes walk from JR Shin-Osaka Station Budget:¥3,000~¥7,000 Vacation:Sunday Business hours: 11:30~23:00 (Lunch until 15:00) Seating: 70 seats at counter and tables Private rooms: Available Private rooms: Available Private rooms: Available ・Private parties: Available ・Non-smoking Private parking lot Appearance The restaurant is located on the north side of Shin-Osaka Station, about a 7-minute walk. It is a bit difficult to get to, but I managed to get there with my carry-on bag in tow. It is located on the first floor of a building, and the building is quite large. Interior view There are a total of 70 seats in the spacious restaurant. There are about 6 seats at the counter, and the rest are tables for 6 people and some private rooms. The restaurant is designed to be enjoyed by a large group. Dishes Bean-curd soup with bean-curd sauce set We ordered this set just for a light snack. I forgot the important price...but I am sure it is under 2,000 yen (probably). With bean-curd soup seasoned with red bean paste, 3 teppan gyoza, rice, and 1 drink, this is a pretty good deal. Teppan Gyoza (3 pieces) The dumplings come out with a buzzing sound. The bean-curd soup is their specialty, but these are also quite tasty. The juicy meat juices are popping out of the crispy skin as if you have been waiting for it. The fact that it is served hot naturally increases the excitement of the dish, and it is also good that it is long and thin, making it easy to eat. It goes well with beer for sure. Homemade Miso Bean Curd Now comes the main course. The way it comes out, bouncing around, is so dynamic that I couldn't help but take a video of it. You have to put a paper napkin on the plate and wait until the oil that is splashing around stops bouncing around. Hot! →Hot! →Yum! That's the order. The combination of the exquisite sibilance, which is not too bitter, and the umami that spreads slowly in the mouth is unbeatable. I can see why everyone recommends it. This is delicious. I finished it in no time even though I was drenched in sweat. The owner of the restaurant has spent 20 years researching the taste of this dish. The unique seasonings and the addictive taste of the authentic flavor, which has not been forcibly adapted to the Japanese taste buds, are still there. Drinks Lemon Sour Included in the set. The glass is cooled to a crisp and tasty. The temperature of the drink is important. It is so cold that you can't hold it for a long time. Jim Beam Highball I wanted to sleep on the bullet train, so I had another one. It's good. Budget About 2,500 yen (per person) As I mentioned above, I forgot the price.... However, from the reviews, I think it is relatively reasonable, around ¥5,000 for a single order! What about similar restaurants? Honmachi] "Kozan" [Shinsaibashi Shinsaibashi] "Sosaku Chuka En" [Shinsaibashi] "Sosaku Chuka En Impressions Thank you to all the followers who recommended this restaurant to me. The bean curd was the best I have ever had, from the impact it had on my eyes to the taste. I heard there is a huge line at lunch time. I heard they have a private room, so next time I would like to bring a large group of people to enjoy the many dishes on the menu. I hope you all will visit this restaurant. It's not just bean curd tofu!　　@Shin-Osaka | Happy eating good food! Where shall we go for lunch today? It's raining a little, when the weather is bad like this, restaurants that usually have lines are less crowded! OK, let's go there! Let's go there! Fun Fun Fun is very popular with a long line of people waiting in line every day from the front of the restaurant! But the restaurant is packed with customers! Everyone is crazy about their Bean Curd, of course! But the other dishes are also delicious~ While enjoying the aroma of the bean curd, I ordered the daily special lunch for 920 yen ■Daily special lunch On this day, I heard that this menu item is very popular! The pork belly and tripe were thick, tender, and delicious! The pork belly is thick, tender, and delicious, and the Chinese-style sauce makes it easy to eat rice with just this dish! In addition, Chinese pickles, salad, Chinese egg soup and rice refills are available, but I managed to resist. I'm so proud of myself for putting up with it! I used to be able to check the daily menu online, but for some reason it was not updated in December! The bean curd is delicious, though, and so are the other dishes, so be sure to try them! But I'm sure the aroma will make me make the Bean Curd. lol! Thanks for the food! Chinese Cuisine Fun Fun Fun 050-5597-5985 Daiko Shin-Osaka Bldg. 1F, 4-3-39 Miyahara, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka

There's also a Bean-curd soup set meal at night!　　@Shin-Osaka | Happy to eat good food......is there anything you crave for irresistibly? I have many things...among them, I sometimes have an irresistible craving for Bean-curd soup with Bean-curd sauce! Located about a 10-minute walk northwest of Shin-Osaka Station, Fun Fun Fun Fun's Bean Curd is so popular that there is always a line out the door at lunchtime! In fact, there is a set meal-like set meal available at night as well. Our famous Bean Curd Bean Curd with rice, Chinese pickles, iron pot dumplings, and your choice of drink! You can choose from highball, sour, small draft beer, and soft drink! Iron pot dumplings Long, thinly wrapped gyoza dumplings are served in an iron pot, so they stay warm for a long time! The skin is soft and crispy. The filling is rather mild, so I added a lot of raayu (Chinese red chili oil) to the gyoza sauce! Spicy and delicious! There were small and large portions of Bean Curd with Bean Paste! I had the small one and it came piping hot enough for one person, so be careful not to burn yourself! The sansho (Japanese pepper) flavor is more numbing than spicy, but the freshness of the flavor makes it a habit. But the refreshing feeling is addictive and makes you want to eat more! It goes well with rice, and I definitely want more! It's an extra charge at night, but I still added more this day! Most of the customers who come here come for this! The aroma of the bean curd leaks out from the outside of the restaurant, making me want to eat it again whenever I pass by the restaurant! This is the bean curd that I want to eat on a regular basis! Thank you for the food! Chinese Cuisine Fun Fun Fun 050-5597-5985 Daiko Shin-Osaka Bldg. 1F, 4-3-39 Miyahara, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka

If you're hungry after bowling, come here! January 2016 My friend came all the way here just to eat Mapo Tofu‼︎ I've heard since I was a child that Mapo Tofu is delicious, but I really can't handle spicy food... Thanks to starting my food blog, I've been able to eat spicy food more and more! As someone who supports my local area, I definitely have to try it! On a particularly cold day, I thought it was finally time and visited after a long time. The Fan Fan restaurant was more popular than before and very busy. I was lucky that the counter seat was the only one available. Of course, I ordered! Sichuan Chen Mapo Tofu for 1,000 yen. It was served immediately (laughs). It arrived bubbling in a clay pot. I really want to share this moment in a video‼︎ Along with it, there was rice and pickled mustard greens. Alright, let's eat! I took a bite of the piping hot Mapo Tofu. Huh? It's not that numbing or spicy?... But then, it started to numb me! The numbness is stronger than the spiciness! As expected from Sichuan! It has an oily feel, but it makes the rice go down easily. Of course, I ended up turning it into a Mapo rice bowl in the second half, no surprise there! Honestly, I wanted to ask for a little more rice... But I timed it wrong and the rice was sold out. Even on such a cold day, I ended up sweating a bit. After eating, I felt refreshed and invigorated. This is quite a numbing deliciousness! The evening course is reasonably priced too, so I want to come back with everyone next time♬ But... I think T-san needs MY spicy sauce~ April 2012 This time it's a daily special. I really like this little dessert, so I always go for the daily special (laughs). On this day, it was stir-fried noodles with sauce. The crispy part was a bit softer, but even with the sauce, it didn't get too soggy. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy the texture until the end. The sauce was lightly flavored, bringing out the sweetness of the Chinese cabbage. This is just right♪ But there was a lot of rice—I ended up leaving a bit... I'm sorry... It was delicious again this time!＾＾ February 2012 The daily special on this day was braised pork ramen. The braised pork was well-cooked and went well with the rice. The ramen had a light broth and was easy to eat! I thought I would definitely go for Mapo Tofu next time, but the daily special was such a good deal that I went for it instead. I enjoyed it deliciously again this time! November 2011 Fan Fan, a Chinese restaurant on the third floor of Eagle Bowl. This is a Chinese restaurant that has been around since I was a child. How many times did I come here to bowl as a kid? I might not have gone 100 times, but I do have memories of coming here as a child. However, I didn't remember anything once I entered the restaurant (laughs). Inside, there are counter seats, tables for four, six... it can accommodate large groups. Before reviewing, I ended up coming here twice, so I will review both visits (^ - ^). Both times, I chose the daily lunch for 850 yen. The daily menu is updated at the beginning of each month on Gurunavi! I check this and go according to what I want to eat. In October, I had tempura pork tenderloin with green onion sauce for lunch. The tempura was made with pork tenderloin, so it was very tender♪ The green onion sauce was light, but it went well with the rice. The Chinese soup was also delicious, and overall it was not too rich and tasty. The mini almond tofu that came with it is also a charm, so I always go for the daily special. In November, it was spicy stir-fried chicken. The chicken was fried with a coating. It was quite spicy, but it went well with the rice. I couldn't help but laugh a bit at the side dish being hijiki (seaweed) (laughs). You can get refills for the rice and soup with the daily lunch. I was satisfied enough though! This restaurant's specialty is Sichuan Mapo Tofu! I'm not good with spicy food, so they also have a sweet version for those who are like me. What should I go eat this month? I will visit again (o・・o)/~

A huge line of people waiting for the restaurant every day! Everyone is looking for the Bean-curd soup with Bean-curd sauce @ Shin-Osaka For 31 years, Fun Fun Fun had a restaurant attached to a bowling alley called Eagle Bowl. In 2018, it closed due to the aging of the building! It is a very popular restaurant in the local area, so much so that there is no one who doesn't know about it! Anyway, the signature item, mapo tofu, is very popular! Just when you think you'll miss it, they opened a branch in Higashimikuni! ↑upThe restaurant is currently closed. And the main restaurant will be relocated and opened on May 21, just a few minutes east of where it used to be! The location is less than a 10-minute walk northwest from Shin-Osaka station on the Osaka Metro Line. It used to be a convenience store. Before that, it was a Chinese restaurant with a bit of elegance, and I was often taken there as a child. Inside the restaurant, there was counter seating to the right as you enter, table seating to the left, and a partition that could be used as a private room. It still is today, but the line is always huge! I think it's bigger than before. Here's what we order! I knew it had to be the Bean Curd with Bean Paste, so I ordered it right away! There are other noodle lunches as well, but... I knew I had to go with the Bean-curd soup with red pepper sauce. ◾️ Chen Mapo Tofu Set 1080 yen A set includes Bean Curd in an earthenware pot, rice, and Chinese pickles. The bean curd soup came after simmering like hell! It is the same as before the relocation! Take a bite, it's spicy and numbing! It's numbing! But you will get used to the spiciness as it becomes a habit! I prefer to eat it on top of rice! It makes the rice go down so fast! At first, it is served with white rice, but there is also fried rice for a second serving! It's a sell-out, but I've never encountered fried rice! They run out after lunch! So the reason there are a couple of dozen people in line before the restaurant opens is to get fried rice! If you want to eat fried rice, you have to be ready for it! If you want to eat fried rice for sure! I hope to come at night this time. Even though the weather is getting hotter, Fun Fun Fun Fun's popularity is not waning! Thank you for the food! At home, the numbness is weak @Shin-Osaka | Happy to eat good food! Fun Fun Fun is located in Higashimikuni, Shin-Osaka, and is famous for its mapo tofu! Lunch is always a long line every day! Especially before the restaurant opens, it's amazing because you can get another helping of fried rice! You can also take out such funfun! I went to the restaurant because I wanted to try the Bean Curd and there was a line, so I decided to take it home to eat at home today! Sichuan Chen Mabo Tofu Bento: 720 yen with Bean-curd soup seasoned with red pepper, rice and sansho Simple! Warm it up and enjoy! When you eat it at the restaurant, it's boiling like hell, heat! Hot! When you eat it at the restaurant, it's boiling like hell, and you eat it while saying, "Hot! But when you take it home, you don't get that... but you don't feel the spiciness and numbness as much? Huh? I wonder if it was mistaken for sweet? That habitual spiciness and numbness is what this place is all about... I had a lot of rice in the bowl...the hot and spicy bean curd is always served with a lot of rice! I think it's best to eat at a restaurant. But if you are not so keen on eating out, you should definitely try take-out! Try take-out! Thank you for the food! To my long-awaited Fan Fan It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station A super popular restaurant inside a bowling alley! I arrived at 1 PM, but there was a wait of about 10-15 people I heard from reviews that even if you wait, you can get in quickly, so I decided to wait. After about 10-15 minutes, I was seated at a shared table!! Since it was a special occasion, I ordered the spicy Mapo Tofu in a large serving!! The large serving is 500 yen, which I thought was quite bold for lunch, but since I can't come here often, The Mapo Tofu arrived in about 10 minutes Oh! From the bubbling appearance, it looks incredibly delicious.... And the large serving is quite impressive, haha I immediately took a bite!! The spiciness of the chili combined with the intense umami is just too amazing! To prevent excessive carbohydrate intake, I managed with one bowl of rice Rice → Mapo → Rice → Mapo → Rice... In no time, I finished the large serving This is truly too delicious! Thank you for the meal!!
