Junipero is made in the London Dry style with juniper as the featured botanical. Other botanicals in play include aniseed, cardamom, cubeb, grains of paradise, and bitter and sweet orange peel. The spirit is distilled in a copper pot-still and is not chill-filtered. It was first released in 1996 by San Francisco's Anchor Distilling Co. now known as Hotaling & Co. Bottled a 49.3% ABV
92 Points - Ultimate Spirits Challenge Based off of the traditional London Dry Gin recipe, allowing for its authentic gin characteristics. Orange zest and grapefruit peel give off a crisp, clean nose, while juniper embraces the tongue and is followed by warm citrus. The finish is slightly spiced and full of earth
This 10 year old single malt was a gold medal winner at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. A classic from the Speyburn distillery. Pretty much the only expression of Speyburn on the market until 2008. The 10 year old may now have stable mates but it still keeps its place as the easy drinking centre of the range. Speyburn denys to gather quiet momentum in the wake of updated packaging and 2012's shock World Whisky Award win for the 25 year old. Nose: Fresh citrus tang and a hint of herbs. Palate: Delicate with notes of caramel and thick toffee, mixing with a maltedness and smooth cereal. Finish: Long and sweet, toffee really comes out
Pre-Order now for pick up on Saturday October 3rd. Introducing Angeleno Spritz from Ventura Spirits. "Even if you've never been to Italy, you've probably heard of an Aperol Spritz. While that Aperitivo cocktail is iconic across Europe, our Angeleno Spritz is an instant American classic, offering a lighter, more refreshing and naturally flavored alternative inspired by Southern California. With the citrus burst of Amaro Angeleno as its base, brightened up with soda water and a hint of grapefruit, this sparkling canned cocktail is an incredibly easy-drinking option for a sunny day outdoors." - Ventura Spirits
Nosso, "no so2," started as an experiment that has turned out to be enormously successful. It starts as 60 year-old vines planted on chalk soils covered with a layer of gravel which are harvested by hand in the middle of the night to prevent oxidation, a crucial step if you are planning to make wines without sulfur. Next the grapes are sorted, destemmed and pressed into tanks where the wine ferments entirely by indigenous yeasts, protected under a layer of CO2. Malo is not blocked and the wine aged on its lees for 6 months before bottling
89 PTS - Wine Enthusiast - Melon rind, chopped mint and wet gravel show on the nose of this appellation blend from a winery that's doubling down on Albarino. It's very zippy on the palate, with tart flavors of finger lime that slice across the palate and can be enjoyed on the hottest of days
A touch darker in appearance, and quite fresh and vibrant from the stainless élevage. Sappy and broad on the palate, offering juicy red fruit flavors such as bright cherries and wild strawberry. Shows good heft on the mid palate and finish, but manages to stay both rich and linear simultaneously. Complex and inviting, this wine will be a perfect pairing with any Sunday Summer brunch. Less than 100 cases produced
94 PTS - Wine Enthusiast A beautifully fine mousse indicates the class of this finely crafted wine. It has some weight, flavors of green apples, with hints of fresh apricots. There is extreme freshness here, the style dry but rich. This bottling tastes young and would be worth aging six months
Astoria Prosecco D.O.C. has very fine and persistent bubbles with straw yellow and greenish reflections. The floral aromas, with generous amounts of pear and golden delicious apple accents, linger on the harmonious and creamy palate
90 PTS - Wine Enthusiast This pale salmon rose is a reliable sparkling wine at a very good price. The latest NV release is toasty on the nose, then offers just faint hints of peach or berry flavors. It's lithe yet creamy on the palate, with a long finish. Editors' Choice
92 PTS - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - Very pretty, offering up aromas of lime, lemon oil, white flowers and very subtle petrol that wouldn't be out of place in the Mosel. On the palate, it's light to medium-bodied, racy and mouthwatering, with lovely intensity and purity, concluding with a stony finish. It's a beautiful wine and carries a very modest price tag (2016 Vintage)
Greece - This intensely-hued rosé has a fresh and fruity character, dominated by the flavors of cherry and gooseberry, which are typical of Agiorgitiko grapes that grow on the Nemea highlands. Medium-bodied and well balanced, it has a cool and refreshing finish
Marlborough, New Zealand- Light bodied, dry and crisp, this wine is full of the typical Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc flavors of gooseberry and passion fruit. Best enjoyed with seafood, pasta, white meats and summer salads
From the Winemaker - Cain Concept—The Benchland is Cabernet Sauvignon from the classical "benchlands" of the Napa Valley. Cabernet grown on the eastern and western benches of Oakville, Rutherford, and St. Helena has defined the greatness of the Napa Valley for more than 100 years. In the Cain way, we blend using Cabernet Franc and Merlot to add nuance, structure, and length to the finish. 2009 was a perfect growing season to illustrate our stylistic values. Cain wines are about balance and complexity. We pick in time to preserve the natural freshness of the fruit before it fades on the vine. In this way, we capture lively wines, wines with energy. In this vintage, the rains of mid-October dramatically underscored our aesthetic. It was a year of relatively low yield; the timing of the growing season was spot on; the mid-June flowering presaged a mid-late September harvest; the grapes ripened under a warm August sun, with few of the hot spells that can sometimes cook the fruit. The only drama came in the second week of October, when the Napa Valley received nearly three inches of rain on Tuesday the 13th. We knew that the rain was coming and that it would be significant. At Cain, we had picked all the vines intended for the Cain Concept. By our standards, the fruit was ripe, and it was in perfect condition. Vintage Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon 46% Merlot 26%, Cabernet Franc 15% Petit Verdot 13%
95 PTS - James Suckling A juicy yet subtle red with spices, walnuts, chocolate and hints of currants. Complex. Medium to full body. Creamy and polished tannins span out on the palate. Flavorful and beautiful finish. Drinkable now, but even better to hold
92 PTS - Wine Enthusiast - Black-plum sauce, peppercorns, turned earth and a bit of caramel show on the nose of this bottling. There is strong tension to the palate, where bright blackberry and cracked pepper aromas meet with wood spice, new leather and vanilla, all framed by penetrating acidity
90 PTS - Wine Enthusiast - Strong aromas of red fruits and hibiscus concentrate mix with milk chocolate on the nose of this bottling. Tart red fruits, black plum and cracked pepper spice come through on the palate, which combines riper flavors with a fairly firm structure
Opulent aromas of black currant, vanilla, gingerbread and violet show on the nose of this bottling. The palate is cohesive in flavors of cassis and violet that are integrated into the creamy, toasty tanninss and fine acidity
Beautiful dark garnet color. Striking floral boysenberry jam, caramel and graphite notes are laced with hints of coffee and bay leaf. On the palate, the wine is dense and textural, with velvety richness. Its jammy, ripe berry flavors are layered with notes of dark chocolate and vanilla oak. Persistent tannins create a balanced but powerful wine
This 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of ultra premium grapes from two very special vineyards in the Napa Valley: Oak Knoll district and the other in St. Helena, alongside the Napa River. The wine was barrel-aged for 30 months in both new French oak and neutral American oak to bolster structure and extract just the right amount of Cedar overtones to balance the bold framework of tannins and acidity. Pairs well with a juicy ribeye steak, grilled lamb chops or a hearty chicken cacciatore
Silky and supple, this opulent Cabernet provides focus and fruitiness that is signature to the vineyards of Lodi, CA – specifically Lodi's East Side Ridge which features warm days and cool evenings. With great concentration and full body, this wine is extra dark in color and carries aromas that are brimming with black currant and black cherries. The wine is aged for nine months on a blend of American and French oak barrels that provide soft tannins, a smooth mouthfeel and opulent finish
North Coast, CA - Aromas of cranberries, dark cherries, herbs, and vanilla. In the mouth the wine is round and polished with just a touch of youthful tannin. The abundant dark fruit flavors carry from the aroma and are underpinned with subtle, brooding hints of dark plum and smoke
Oak-forward and wearing the wood with abandon, this white has baked tropical flavors and a lingering harshness to its tannins. The grapes originate from both Sonoma Mountain and the Russian River Valley. TASTING NOTES: This wine is attractive and well-balanced; Its pristine ripe fruit and warm, savory spice flavors should deliciously pair with pan-fried chicken thighs with wild mushrooms. (Tasted: July 8, 2019, San Francisco, CA)
90 PTS - Wine Spectator - A delicate Champagne, with a refined mousse and finely honed acidity, this offers a subtle range of black currant, lemon zest, toast and chalk flavors that linger on the lightly spiced finish. 90 PTS - Wine Enthusiast - Fresh and crisp, this is bright with acidity as well as warmer fruitiness. It brings out the dry Laurent-Perrier style, balanced by soft creamed apples and fragrant acidity. Light and fruity at the end, it is ready to drink. 90 PTS - Wine Advocate - The Laurent-Perrier NV Brut is a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 15% Meunier, and is based on 2009 plus 15-30% reserve wines from two or three vintages. Citrus colored, this signature LP has a refined, fresh and elegant nose with brioche and delicate citrus flavors. Lean, refined and elegant on the palate, this is a dry and silky textured, vivacious, and perfectly fresh and balanced aperitif Champagne. Winemaker Notes: The wine comes from the purest grape juice and it alone allows Laurent-Perrier to craft 'La Cuvée', a champagne of great finesse and a beautiful freshness obtained after a long ageing process in our cellars. Pale gold in color. Fine bubbles feed a persistent mousse. A delicate nose with hints of fresh citrus and white flowers. The wine's complexity is expressed in successive notes like vine peach and white fruits notes. A perfect balance between freshness and delicacy with fruity flavors very present on the finish. This fresh and pure wine is perfect for an apéritif. Its citrus and white fruits notes and its remarkable balance supported by a subtle effervescence, make it an ideal accompaniment to poultry and the finest fish
The Chardonnay of this champagne takes us into the world of Barons de Rothschild champagnes, marked by an unforgettable taste. A strong, assertive opening that leads into a well-rounded wine - powerful yet restrained; the sign of long aging in traditional cellars. This exceptionally fine cuvee exudes aromas of pear and nuts (almonds, fresh hazelnuts) marrying with hints of white flowers and faint toasty notes. The wine's brilliance and clarity show pale golden highlights, combined with very fine bubbles that carry an abundant, persistent foam. This rich, ethereal and complex cuvee embodies the essence of the Rothschild family's winemaking values: perfection, constancy, and a spirit of purity and refinement, all given the utmost of care. Blend: 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier 93 PTS Wine & Spirits This tightly knit wine has the buzzing energy of a beehive, the frisson of bubbles calming to a spicy scent of bee balm along with darker tones of whole-grain toast. It's firmly structured, with lasting clarity to its flavors. Pour it with a selection of crudo, dressed in citrus and peppery olive oil. 91 PTS - James Suckling A rich and classically complex style with boldly-stated, toasty, reserve wine drive. Grilled nuts, potpourri and dried red berries on the nose. The palate has lemon citrus punch amid a powerful pinot-esque frame. Drink now. 90 PTS Wine Spectator Hints of pastry dough and graphite lace flavors of baked currant and lemon curd in this crisp Champagne, with a lively bead
Ciro produces this from his estate vineyard and adds back a little of the first pressing to give the wine a little texture in youth, it's from younger vines and it has great energy and drive; this is the perfect wine by the glass - it's full of zesty, rocky minerally flavour and has serious concentration and wonderful balance. Refreshing, contemplative and very moreish, it is beautiful drinking !
250ML Can - Very stylish, with a creamy edge to the pretty white cherry, rose water and jasmine notes. The long finish shows a light mineral echo. Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault
Deeply extracted cherry and bright cassis arrest the senses, holding captive on both the nose and the palate. Swiftly followed by red currant jam and black pepper, the supple mouthfeel fills out this full-bodied wine. Toasty coconut and spicy oak from the American oak heightens the dense fruit, and the wine finishes with stellar tannins softened by just a hint sweet pipe tobacco. Wine Enthusiast's American Winery of the Year 2019
