“Picnic Tea by Ace Hotel Kyoto” supervised by Sakiko Hirano starts on May 1, 2025
Enjoy afternoon tea outside, and enjoy a new sweet time
Ace Hotel Kyoto will offer “Picnic Tea,” a new proposal for an afternoon tea that can be easily carried and enjoyed, from May 1, under the supervision of food essayist Sakiko Hirano, who works on the butter sandwich brand “(NO) RAISIN SANDWICH.”
This set, born from the free idea of “taking afternoon tea outside and enjoying it outdoors,” is a box filled with the playfulness and aesthetic sense unique to Ace Hotel Kyoto, packed with the following items in a specially designed original tote bag.
Small, colorful savory sandwiches (8 types in total) made with ingredients and seasonal vegetables unique to Kyoto, and seasonal donuts created in collaboration with Kyoto's famous shop "Kew". We offer the year-round flavor "Stumptown Coffee Cream" as well as flavors that change monthly. In addition, No Raisin Sandwich will offer two types of Kyoto-exclusive butter sandwiches that use matcha and roasted green tea from Kyoto's long-established "Ippodo Tea Shop" in abundance, as well as an original drink created with the sweets in mind.
The illustrations on the tote bags are by ancco, an illustrator who is active in a wide range of fields, including CD jackets and book illustrations.
This collaboration was made possible through a connection that was born from participating in the Ace Hotel Kyoto's "Artist in Residence" program in 2024.
Whether in a hotel room, on a park bench, or in nature on your travels -
"Picnic Tea" is a new afternoon tea experience that allows you to create your own unique tea time anywhere, including the main dining room "KŌSA" on the 3rd floor of Ace Hotel Kyoto. We hope that it will become a "sweet presence" that gently accompanies your daily life and adds a little excitement.

▶Seating will be limited to 2 hours from the time of reservation.
