Ichinomaru is a sushi restaurant where you can savor authentic Sanriku coastal cuisine and fresh seafood. Every day, seasonal seafood is delivered directly from Sanriku Kamaishi, allowing you to enjoy sushi and sashimi, as well as grilled and fried dishes to your liking. Inside the restaurant, you can also enjoy carefully selected sake, including the unique local sake 'Hamachidori Daiginjo Tobikakooi,' which can only be tasted here.

The interior of the restaurant is a bit dim, with a counter and tatami seating, creating a relaxing atmosphere. They greet you with a bright 'Welcome!' and it's fun to see the kanji for fish lined up on the tea cups. For lunch, you can choose from options like nigiri, chirashi, seafood bowls, and tempura bowls, which makes it hard to decide. The gunkan wrapped in kelp had a great flavor and left a strong impression. The tempura bowl was generously filled with shrimp, and it comes with pickles, simmered dishes, a clear soup, and even mango pudding, making it very satisfying. The staff is attentive in their explanations and are kind to foreign guests, allowing for a pleasant experience.
