The creator is Luigi da Alessandro, known as a 'specialist in the Syrah grape' in the region of Tuscany. The straightforward richness of the fruit spreads out, expressing a smooth mouthfeel. The moderate acidity is refreshing, and the delicate tannins are pleasant, making it a well-balanced wine.
Aged for 12 months in French oak and medium barrels, and then for 4 months in the bottle. The strong and distinctive aroma includes hints of violets and ripe blackberries. This wine, the second of Castello di Brolio, gently and elegantly brings out the characteristics of Sangiovese, emphasizing the importance of terroir and making it easy to drink.
