As I walked through the picturesque streets of Hida Furukawa, I was struck by the charming exterior that evokes the Taisho Romantic era. The atmosphere inside the shop is calm, and the staff greet you warmly, making it a comfortable place to be. The handmade soba has a rich aroma, and when paired with the hot soba broth, its flavor is further enhanced. The tempura is generously portioned, with a light and crispy batter that allows the sweetness of the vegetables and shrimp to shine through. The herbal menamomi syrup soft serve I enjoyed after the meal had a refreshing aftertaste and was more delicious than I had imagined. On a hot day, enjoying a draft beer along with the town's scenery truly satisfied my heart.
