Today's date was lunch at 'Kome Mugi' in Marifu-cho, Iwakuni City. When I visited previously, it was fully booked after 11 o'clock, so this time I made a reservation in advance. The lunch I aimed for, the 'Rice Plate', includes the main dish of 'Whole Onion Meat Cheese Bake', along with salad, six types of small bowls, and soup. You can choose between white rice or mixed grain rice. Everything had a perfect balance of color and seasoning, with a gentle homemade taste that was pleasant. This menu is perfect for those who want to enjoy a variety of dishes little by little. It seems that they have just celebrated their 2nd anniversary, but many regular customers can be seen in the store, indicating that they are rooted in the community. The location is behind the FamilyMart Marifu store (mountain side). ⚫︎ Store Name: Kome Mugi ⚫︎ Location: 4-20-10 Marifu-cho, Iwakuni City ⚫︎ Dish Name & Price: Lunch (Rice Plate) 1,580 yen x 2 (including tax) ⚫︎ Visit Date: 2026.6.19 ⚫︎ Google map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/GA2c38M471CXoDyY9?g_st=i&utm_campaign=ac-im

There were many dishes made with seasonal ingredients in a small bowl, and I was very satisfied! The chicken meatballs were delicious! The caramel pancakes I ordered for dessert were also delicious! Reservations are a must! I want to repeat this experience!

The restaurant is not very spacious, but the atmosphere was very nice. You can choose the main dish and rice, and there are many small side dishes with various flavors, which was great.

It was a lunch plate where I could gradually eat various side dishes, and I was wondering which one to eat first ♡ The main dish was kakiage! Inside the kakiage, there were thinly sliced pumpkin, and it was delicious! I think I will try to replicate it. Everything was delicious, and I was satisfied ♡

The thick bread was fluffy, sweet, and very delicious, disappearing quickly. The bacon was crispy, the egg was fluffy, and a slice of potato was crispy on the outside and tasty.
