Today's date was lunch at 'Kome Mugi' in Marifu-cho, Iwakuni City. When I visited previously, it was fully booked after 11 o'clock, so this time I made a reservation in advance.
The lunch I aimed for, the 'Rice Plate', includes the main dish of 'Whole Onion Meat Cheese Bake', along with salad, six types of small bowls, and soup. You can choose between white rice or mixed grain rice.
Everything had a perfect balance of color and seasoning, with a gentle homemade taste that was pleasant. This menu is perfect for those who want to enjoy a variety of dishes little by little.
It seems that they have just celebrated their 2nd anniversary, but many regular customers can be seen in the store, indicating that they are rooted in the community. The location is behind the FamilyMart Marifu store (mountain side).

I had a very enjoyable time.
It was cheap, delicious, and had the atmosphere of a typical yakitori restaurant, making it a very good place.
The staff's response was also very pleasant, even though they were busy.

I was surprised at the size of the neta. However, people who came to the restaurant before said that it had become smaller, a little sadder, and more expensive, but I guess that is to be expected in this day and age. However, I think the size of the neta is quite surprising when you see it for the first time.
Also, the change of miso soup to scallion soup was a great decision! I highly recommend it.

When you enter the shop near the ropeway station, you are greeted by staff with a soft atmosphere. The lunch set has an astonishing variety of dishes, allowing you to enjoy the unique flavors of different ingredients on each plate. The seasoning is gentle and well-balanced with dashi, making it easy to keep eating until the end without getting bored. The colorful presentation is a feast for the eyes, making you want to take photos. The homemade plum juice before the meal is refreshing, and you can be fully satisfied with the coffee after the meal and the choice of dessert. Spending time reading the handmade menu card was very pleasant and relaxing.
