Kirin-tei

A long-established sukiyaki restaurant that has been in business since the Taisho era (1912-1926). The restaurant is proud of its sukiyaki, which is made with carefully selected, high-quality meat from the bloodline of Wagyu beef and served with a light wari-yoke sauce. The beef hot pot set meal is popular for lunch, a hot pot filled with beef and vegetables, served in a light sauce with a raw egg dropped into it. Other set meals such as beef cutlet and cream croquettes are also available, all with a gentle flavor.

Kirin Tei is a traditional restaurant specializing in sukiyaki and is located near Kyoto Station. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and is decorated with the warmth of wood. At lunch time, customers can enjoy an authentic beef hot pot set meal at an affordable price, making it a popular spot for locals as well as tourists.

Originally opened as an affiliate of Restaurant Murase in Teramachi. It moved to its current location and is overwhelmed by the stately atmosphere that one would not expect from a restaurant.
