This is what Hiroshima is all about! 2016,05 I accompanied my partner on a quick trip back home! When I went out for dinner with my friend, she gave me this souvenir! To be honest, I'm getting tired of Hiroshima souvenirs from Nishikido! I even told my partner that this place was okay... This time, too, I thought to myself, "Oh, here we go again... ← Excuse me... When I opened the door, I was surprised! It's my favorite rice cake! When I got it, it was frozen. By the time I get home, it will be ready to eat - really! It was already ready to eat! They were wrapped in bamboo leaves and smelled so good! The chewy, chewy texture is perfect for the hot weather! The bean paste is sticky because it's frozen? I thought it was only Momiji-manju, but Nishikido has done it! But...what does fu have to do with Hiroshima? I don't think so. If you think that momiji manju is the only thing you can buy, you're wrong! If you think so, how about fu mochi? 2014,08 Momiji Manjuu from Nishikido, which was given to me as a souvenir from Hiroshima. I get tired of receiving good food all the time! This time, it is a collaboration product of Andersen, a bakery often seen in department stores, and Nishikido! Atarashi momiji! Seto citrus fromage Osaki Kamishima Lemon Seto salt chocolates The dough is not sticky because it is not fresh mozzarella! Standard fluffy sponge cake dough You can feel the love of local people in the bean paste made from local ingredients. The citrus fromage and Ueshima lemon are refreshing to eat! The chocolat is not too sweet with a hint of salt! I'm very happy to see them collaborating and developing new products like this! When my partner comes back home, I ask him to bring me a souvenir other than momiji manju! I ask him to give me something other than momiji manju! I'll ask him to buy me a new one only if there is a new product. 2011,07 This time it is a gift from my partner's nephew! I knew it was a momiji manju, a souvenir from Hiroshima and from people outside of the prefecture. This time there was a new flavor of fresh momiji! It's a green tea flavor! The dough is still mochi mochi (sticky)! I love this texture! The inside is a green tea bean paste, and it's very sticky! There is a faint aroma of green tea, but I guess it's not as good as the sweet bean paste or the mashed bean paste! Nama-momiji chocolate and custard are available as a variation. I wish there would be more of them, though. Thanks for the souvenirs. 2010,08 Souvenir from a friend of my partner. At first I was thinking "Momiji manju again? But it seems that even the momiji manjuu is raw... The best-before date is about two weeks, right? I got a set of 5 koshian and 10 tsubu-an. The koshian one is very tasty, with moist red bean paste and a soft, chewy crust! The skin is so sticky you'll think you're eating mochi! I thought I was eating mochi! I wish the bean paste was a little softer, but it would be better if it were more firm. Personally, I like Koshian. I'm happy if it's delicious as a souvenir!
