Located just a 5-minute walk from Akita Station, Sakaba Wanase opened in August 2023 and has quickly become a favorite izakaya among locals. The interior has been renovated, featuring charming mascot characters on the walls. Here, you can enjoy a fresh sashimi platter and creative dishes made with seasonal ingredients, and the selection of sake is particularly extensive, offering new discoveries with each visit.

Both the master and the staff had smiles and created a nice atmosphere in the shop. All the dishes were delicious. The tuna cutlet and the boiled celery were especially good. There were various drinks from both inside and outside the prefecture, and the prices were reasonable. It's definitely a place I want to visit again.
