A table and chairs are placed in the tatami room, and thanks to the partition fabric, you can sit comfortably. The kimono-clad proprietress and young proprietress quickly brought tea and appetizers, making me feel the attentive hospitality from the very beginning. The unaju (grilled eel over rice) comes with the grilled eel and rice in separate boxes, allowing you to pour the sauce according to your preference, which is a fun feature. The surface is crispy and fragrant, while the inside is fluffy eel that pairs well with the sweet and savory sauce, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. The weekly fish set meal also includes sashimi, fried tuna, and grilled sea bream, allowing me to enjoy various flavors of the sea. I savored coffee after the meal in a calm space that felt historical, and I left the restaurant completely satisfied.
