Exquisite ramen crafted from chicken broth and carefully selected noodles

Ramen-ya Menjuku is located in front of Yasukuni Shrine and has reopened under a new name. The chicken-based broth harmonizes the mildness of soy sauce with a hint of bitterness from paprika powder. The noodles are medium-thick, curly noodles made with whole wheat flour, providing excellent firmness and a perfect pairing with the broth.

The aroma of soy sauce rises from the gentle chicken broth, and the richness of the back fat is smooth. The surface is piping hot but not overly greasy, and the toasted sesame and fried onion fragrance wafts pleasantly. The curly noodles are slippery with just the right amount of firmness, blending perfectly with the soup. The chashu is tender and falls apart, and when eaten with menma, bean sprouts, and green onions, the texture is delightful. You can also enjoy variations in flavor with the black pepper and chili oil on the table, keeping it interesting until the end. It’s in a location that’s easy to walk to from the station, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy the ramen in a lively atmosphere.
