In a casual izakaya that you can drop by in the streets of Kagawa, a bright atmosphere immediately comes through. The energetic owner and the kind proprietress welcomed us, so my spirits were lifted the moment I sat down. The specialty, bone-in chicken, is slowly roasted in a special oven, and the spicy aroma and juiciness are irresistible. The owner cut it into easy-to-eat pieces, so I couldn't help but indulge in it with a beer in hand until the very end. There are also classic dishes like chilled tofu and grilled salt-cured yellowtail collar, perfect for a light snack, which made me want to order more. With delicious food and enjoyable conversations with the owner, I left feeling fully energized.
