As you pass through the noren (fabric curtain), you find a counter and a tatami room, creating a calm atmosphere. You can't see inside from the entrance, but once you step in, a variety of side dishes are lined up, making you feel excited. When you order the daily set meal, it comes with a main bowl or grilled fish along with many small side dishes. The simmered sardines and pumpkin stew have a homey taste that makes it hard to put down your chopsticks. The hearty soup is also mild and encourages you to keep eating rice. The cheerful service from the proprietresses is pleasant, and I was able to enjoy a warm feeling until the very end.
