I was excited as I picked up my takeout in a quiet residential area and headed home. When I opened the package, a large, hefty eel spread out over the rice, and its appearance was appetizing. The flesh was fluffy with a fragrant char, and with each bite, I felt a melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The light sauce clung just right, enhancing the natural flavor of the eel, which was delightful. The refreshing taste of the accompanying Nara pickles provided a nice accent, and I couldn't stop using my chopsticks until the end.
