I changed trains at Yoyogi station. But I was hungry, so I thought of having dumplings at "Mr. So's restaurant" and saw this one next door. I remembered that Foreign Deb Hashishi-a famous debauchee on Instagram-had also recommended this restaurant, so I decided to visit it. Seared spare ribs pork miso soup + rice (large) + natto (890 yen + 150 yen + 100 yen) The soup is a blend of Kyoto barley miso and Shinshu miso, so the seasoning is a bit sweet. Ingredients include large pieces of tofu, Chinese cabbage, and onions. The pork broth is ready to be served, and the spare ribs are seared over a burner and topped with Hatcho miso. As one would expect from a restaurant specializing in pork miso soup, it is both hearty and delicious. But 890 yen is a bit expensive. The spare ribs are an additional 200 yen, but considering the price, it seems a little sad. ＋There was also a set meal set for +250 yen, but I didn't seem to like the small bowl of rice, so I had just the rice (large serving free). I thought the pork miso soup alone would not be enough for rice, so I added natto (for some reason, a raw egg also came with it). All in all, the meal was delicious, but I still think the total price of 1,140 yen is a bit high. I guess I felt it was more expensive, especially since "Sosan's" next door was cheap and very tasty.
