A cafe to enjoy fresh local vegetables

Matsuyama Cafe is located in Asuka Village, Nara, and is an attractive establishment that uses an abundance of fresh, locally sourced vegetables in its dishes. In a calm atmosphere, you can enjoy a relaxing lunch with pleasant service. Notably, the taro miso gratin and green beans with peanut sauce are impressive, offering a delightful combination of new flavors. The food was as good as advertised. I was very satisfied with the generous portions of vegetables. The serving time and cosiness are also good. Reservations are essential as the seats are filled with reservations on weekends and holidays. I was guided to a seat for two next to a large window, and there were seagulls and small spiders in the window. I understand that there are insects in an old house café, but being side by side facing the window meant that I had to watch them while I ate my meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, but because we were facing the window, we were unable to observe the interior of the restaurant. It would be better to change the direction of the chairs or not have seats by the large windows. Also, there was a piece of string attached to the lunch pork that was probably used to cook the meat. I did not notice it until I put it in my mouth, but it was not pleasant to the palate, and it would be very dangerous if accidentally swallowed.
