A renowned tonkatsu restaurant reborn anew

Daihachimanro is conveniently located along the national highway and has recently been newly built, featuring a very clean and charming traditional Japanese interior. The menu is diverse, focusing on tonkatsu, but also offering delicious options like shrimp tempura and ramen. The moist baumkuchen as a souvenir is especially recommended.

The interior is clean and quiet, with a Japanese-style decor. There is a counter and tables, making it easy to enter even alone. The menu is extensive, which can be overwhelming, but the fried foods have a crispy coating and are not heavy. The pork cutlet is tender, and the shrimp tempura is also large, both delicious with tartar sauce or salt. You can refill the cabbage and miso soup, and enjoy variations in flavor with sauces, spicy miso, salt, and mustard. The tonteki has a nice sear on the surface and is moist inside, and when paired with homemade sauce, spicy miso sauce, and garlic chips, it goes perfectly with rice.

The interior has a new and calming Japanese atmosphere, making it comfortable to stay. There are counter seats available, so it's easy to enter even alone. The tonkatsu has a light and crispy coating, and the meat is tender with a light aftertaste. The tonteki features thick pork cooked to perfection, allowing you to enjoy variations in flavor with garlic chips and several sauces. The shrimp tempura is large, delicious with both tartar sauce and salt, and you can enjoy it all the way to the tail. It also comes with pickles, umeboshi (pickled plum), and miso soup, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal.
