Iimori Buntan is a charming hideaway located at the foot of Iimori Mountain, where you can feel the breath of history. The sauce katsu don, featuring pork cutlet soaked in a sweet and savory sauce, pairs perfectly with crunchy cabbage, enhancing the deliciousness of the rice. Additionally, the signature 'kattora' offers a satisfying experience with its fluffy, soft bread and thick cutlet. It's an ideal dining spot for a little break after sightseeing.

At the end of the stairs, there is a casual dining area in the back of the shop. The Aizu sauce katsudon features a large pork cutlet that is generously dipped in sauce, which has a delightful aroma, and the shredded cabbage perfectly complements the rice. With a sweet and rich flavor, it can be enjoyed until the very last bite. Unlike crowded places, I was able to sit comfortably and savor my meal at a leisurely pace. From the observation area in the back, you can see Tsuruga Castle, and it's also fun to look down at the Sazae-do from above. The fluffy shaved ice melts quickly, and the cold soba tea is a nice touch, making it perfect after climbing the stairs.
